Midnight Commander team officially announces the release of Midnight Commander 4.8.13 with minor fixes in core, editor, viewer segments. As you know that Midnight Command is famous visual file editor like gedit editor. This editor allows you to copy, move and delete files and whole directory trees, search for files and run commands in subshell.

According to official announcement, Midnight Commander 4.8.13 comes with improvements of syntax highlighting specially for CMake and PHP. It also translate language names in spelling assistant dialogue in editor. The core of this release comes with new engine of user friendly interruption of long time operations.

The Midnight Viewer includes separate normal color pair and also deals with utf-8 man pages in view/open section. Among other fixes, it includes fixes like recursive find file doesn't work on Samba share, incorrect file counter in move operation, colon is not recognized inside escape seq in prompt. The quick view doesn't grab focus on mouse click, fish subshell included overridden prompt. The fixes in MCViewer includes broken switch between raw and parse modes and incorrect percentage in mcview hex mode.
