OpenMandriva development team officially announces the release of OpenMandriva Lx 2014.1 with several bug fixes and performance improvements. As you all know that OpenMandriva 2014.1 is another KDE based Linux Distro which includes updated packages along with updated applications.

According to official announcement, OpenMandriva 2014.1 comes with updated Linux Kernel 3.15.10 with new nrjQL patchset, KDE 4.13.3, Firefox 32.0.3, x11-server 1.15.2, Mesa 10.2.6 and updated bash with latest security fixes. Apart from these updates, it also includes several updates for drivers and other software.

The team also claim thats they have mainly focused on system boot up time which is now reduced to 17 seconds and also reduces memore footprint significantly.
