Manjaro 0.8.10 receives fourth Update Pack with Updated Apps & Drops Linux34


Manjaro team officially announces the release of fourth update pack for Manjaro 0.8.10 which primarily includes updated packages and applications. This update pack includes new packages along with updated apps.

According to official announcement, Manjaro 0.8.10 distro comes with updated Linux Kernel which includes support for 3.10, 3.11, 3.14 and 3.15 kernel series. The main highlighted feature of this release is that it drops linux34 for better performance improvements. You can remove linux34, by running the following command in terminal on your Manjaro distro.
$ sudo mhwd-kernel -r linux34
Other updates which you might find in this release includes updated Octopi 0.4.1 which comes with bunch of obligatory bug fixes along with updates like few new translations, installed size info in tooltips, search by file option and installed packages are counted based on View filters. The fourth update pack for Manjaro 0.8.10 also consists of KDE5 as you know that earlier this month KF 5.0 was released. The developers are still working on Plasma 5 so that it will be available in Manjaro repositories.
