Elive 2.3.0 Beta released with Updated Kernel 3.14, Enlightenment & New Games


Elive development team officially announces the release of Elive 2.3.0 beta with new features and updated packages. This is a development release which does not include any proprietary drivers like Nvidia or fglrx but available open source drivers will detect your hardware and configure your system accordingly without any problem.

As many of you know that Elive stands for Enlightenment live which is a GNU/Linux Distro based on Debian Linux. This Linux Distro uses Enlightenment X window manager instead of GNOME or KDE. Also, review other latest Linux Distro News to know what's new in them ?

According to official announcement, Elive 2.3.0 Beta comes with updated Linux Kernel 3.14 with Reiser4 patch including much wider range of WiFi and audio card drivers for newer computers. This release also provides backports for Virtualbox, nvidia and fglrx drivers.

The default enlightenment in Elive 2.3.0 beta release has much more friendly menu of applications and also included Debian security as default repository. Apart from these new features, Elive 2.3.0 beta includes improvements and fixed for Elive Installer. The Elive Installer includes fixes for migration mode, global languages configuration, keymap in console, audio configuration improvements.
