Netrunner Rolling 2014.09.1 released with Fixed NVIDIA Driver & Bash Shell

Netrunner development team officially announces the release of Netrunner Rolling 2014.09.1 with minor fixes and improvements. Few days, ago Netrunner Rolling 2014.09 was released and this another maintenance release under 2014.09 which primarily includes fixes for NVIDIA driver issues along with first fix for bash shell vulnerability.

According to official announcement, Netrunner Rolling 2014.09.1 comes with updated Samba file sharing, Kontact accounts and language packs installation. The Laptop mode tools are replaced by new TLP to provide better control over power consumption and longer battery life. Veromix audio mixer is introduced in this release to control over volume and sound.

The KDE SC is updated to 4.14 version which introduces new semantic desktop search baloo to replace nepomuk. The Baloo offers new and super fast way to index files, folders and metadata and also allows you to search and find files more easily. For video recording purposes, this release includes Cheese webcam app which allows you to take photos and videos on your desktop. Also, review recent Linux Distro News to know what's new in them ?

Among other updated applications, Netrunner Rolling 2014.09.1 comes with updated Kernel 3.14.18, Thunderbird 31.1.1, VLC 2.1.5, LibreOffice 4.2.6, Krita & Karbon 2.8.5, Clementine 1.2.3, FlashPlayer 11.2.202.406, Gimp 2.8.10, Gparted 0.19, Pacman 4.1.2 and Pidgin 2.10.9.
