Microsoft reveals the stats of active Lumia and their active Windows Phone Apps
According to survey conducted by Microsoft regarding active Windows Phone users, it is confirmed that over 50 million Lumia smartphones are still active and over 320,000 apps are used by active users of Windows Phone. This gives a great confidence to Microsoft to expand its business more and be a great competent against Android smartphones.
According to one of the announcement at WMPoweruser, Microsoft reveals some of its private and interesting statistics regarding active Windows Phone users and their stats regarding usage of Windows Phone apps. The stats reveals that there are over 560,000 Windows Phone developers who all together put over 320,000 apps on Windows Phone store.
The Microsoft already planned to drop Nokia brand and also plan to start its own Microsoft Lumia brand because Windows Phone rapidly increases its demand among users around the globe. The Microsoft Lumia brand name already used with Lumia 535 smartphone, but soon it will be available with all Lumia models.
With the rapid popularity of Windows Phone among several users, Microsoft is also planning to launch newer update for Windows Phone which is Windows Phone 10. Windows 10 Preview soon available for various Windows Phone Devices
As you all know that during an event organized by Microsoft on 21st January, it was announced that soon Windows 10 will be available for all Windows Phone devices, but it wasn't revealed that what will be new in upcoming Windows Phone 10 release.
According to sources, it is confirmed that lot of Windows Phone based smartphones going to receive Windows 10 preview which primarily includes new feature like partition stitching which requires additional tweaks to work well on all models. Among several new features, Windows 10 includes new start and live tile sizes, more quick actions and interactive notifications, new keyboard and new apps. The parallax scroll effect of wallpaper on Start screen is removed and you will get a full-size background which stands still and doesn't move single inch. The Live tiles now contains very small translucency effect and you can also barely spot the background color through it. Specs of Nokia Lumia 940 leaked with Support for Windows Phone 10, 24MP Camera
The Microsoft's upcoming flagship handset Nokia Lumia 940's specifications are leaked by some known sources. Well you know that Nokia Lumia 940 is the successor of Lumia 930 and will introduce improved hardware specs than earlier one. We hope that the revealed specs will be true so that it won't hurt the feelings of new buyers.
According to one of the announcement published at PhoneArena, it is confirmed that the next flagship handset of Microsoft which is Nokia Lumia 940 comes with advanced specs compared to previously launched Lumia 930 smartphone. Well according to this announcement, every information is uncertain as sources believe that the information might contain some exaggerated information.
The upcoming Nokia Lumia 940 handset comes with Windows Phone 10 as default operating system which confirms that the Microsoft is planning to launch Windows Phone 10 in spring 2015. The Lumia 940 also introduce 5 inch 1080p screen display enabled with Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Pre Release Beta Program for Microsoft Office available for Windows Phone too

According to one of the announcement at WinBeta, Microsoft is planning to send some invitations for getting the feedback about pre-release of Microsoft Office for Windows Phone devices. Well this beta release is only available for tablets, phones and desktops. This feedback program will start after receiving invitation from Microsoft.
After completing the onboarding steps, you will be added to their list of available participants. As features and experiences become ready for feedback, they will contact participants meeting the necessary profile with details about the program and also extent an invitation to provide feedback.
Well Microsoft also claims that the feedback program will vary in length from few weeks to as long as several months. The company haven't revealed any information about release date of pre-release beta program of Office but we hope soon they will spread the word about it.
