How to Install DBeaver 3.0.1 via Debian Package on Ubuntu, Debian & Mint


DBeaver is famous universal database manager available for developers and database administrators. It offers several key features like multiplatform, freeware, based on opensource framework, supports any database having JDBC driver, handle any external datasource which may or may not have a JDBC driver.

Step Wise Installation of DBeaver 3.0.1 using Debian Package on Ubuntu, Debian, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Linux Mint and other Debian based distros.

Installation of DBeaver 3.0.1 on 32-bit Ubuntu and Debian based Derivatives


Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal to install latest gdebi installer on your 32-bit Ubuntu and its derivatives.
$ sudo apt-get install gdebi
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download 32-bit Debian Package of DBeaver 3.0.1 using wget command on your Debian based Linux Distros.
$ wget http://dbeaver.jkiss.org/files/dbeaver_3.0.1_i386.deb
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable DBeaver 3.0.1 on your Debian based Linux Distros.
$ sudo gdebi dbeaver_3.0.1_i386.deb
After installation, search for "DBeaver" either in Unity Dash or in Application menu. Launch it from there and access its advanced features on your distros.

Installation of DBeaver 3.0.1 on 64-bit Ubuntu and Debian based derivatives

Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal to install latest gdebi installer on your 64-bit Ubuntu and its derivatives.
$ sudo apt-get install gdebi
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download 64-bit Debian PAckage of DBeaver 3.0.1 using wget command on your Debian based Linux Distros.
$ wget http://dbeaver.jkiss.org/files/dbeaver_3.0.1_amd64.deb
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable DBeaver 3.0.1 on your Debian based Linux Distros.
$ sudo gdebi dbeaver_3.0.1_amd64.deb
After installation, search for "DBeaver" either in Unity Dash or in Application menu. Launch it from there and access its advanced features on your distros.
