How to Install NVIDIA 349.16 Beta using PPA on Ubuntu & Linux Mint
NVIDIA officially announces the release of NVIDIA 349.16 Beta with new addition along with minor bugfixes. Well this is another beta version availale for testing purposes. This release might surprise the new users because it includes support for new GPUs along with newly added features.
According to official announcement, NVIDIA 349.16 Beta comes with support for new GPUs such as Quadro K1200, M6000, GeForce 920M, 930A, 930M, GTX 950M, GTX 960M. It also includes support for G-SYNC monitors when used together with non-G-SYNC monitors and added support for lossless H.264/AVC video streams to VDPAU along with added support for VDPAU feature set F to the NVIDIA VDPAU driver.
This release also includes nvidia-settings commandline support to query the current and targeted GPU fan speed, a checkbox to nvidia-settings to enable a visual indicator that shows when G-SYNC is being used, support for X.Org X server's "-background none" option, support for YUV 4:2:0 compression to enable HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz modes when either the display or GPU is incapable of driving these modes in RGB 4:4:4. You can also download the latest NVIDIA 349.16 Beta to install it on your Linux Distro.
Apart from these new features, NVIDIA 349.16 Beta also includes minor bugfixes such as fixed bug that could caused multi-threaded applications to crash when multiple threads used the EGL driver at the same time, fixed a bug that caused Sync to VBlank to not work correctly with XVideo applications in certain configurations and fixed a bug that caused corruption when switching display modes in some applications that use transform feedback. Step 1 : Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for Wine 1.7.34 on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added PPA for Wine 1.7.34 in the software repository on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get update
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable Wine 1.7.34 and Winetricks on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get install wine1.7 winetricks
After installation, now run any Windows based application with the help of Wine on your PPA based Linux Distros.

$ gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal
Now open this music player and try to play your favorite music track in Lollypop player.
