How to Install PhotoQt 1.2 (Image Viewer) via PPA on Ubuntu & Linux Mint
PhotoQt is a simple image viewer and is based on Qt5. It supports several image formats, basic file management operations, slideshow feature, Exif information, highly adjustable to your custom preference, very fast and flexible, thumbnail cache, system tray usage and command line options.
According to official announcement, PhotoQt 1.2 comes with better SVG support along with XCF support and PSB/PSD support. It also adds sorting criteria for files, option to stay centered on active thumbnail, remember zoom levels/rotation per session, option to fit smaller images in window, improved handling of windowed/fillscreen mode and automatic language detection on first start-up.

Step Wise Installation of PhotoQt 1.2 (Image Viewer) using PPA on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Linux Mint and other PPA based Linux Distros
Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for PhotoQt 1.2 on your PPA based Linux Distros.

Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for PhotoQt 1.2 on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added PPA for PhotoQt 1.2 in the software repository on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get update
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable PhotoQt 1.2 on your PPA based Linux Distros.
$ sudo apt-get install photoqt
After installation, now try to open your personal images in PhotoQt Viewer to check how they look.
