Being a Linux users, you already knew that there are lot of music players available for Linux distros. Lollypop is one of the new Gnome music player which is entirely written in Python and Gtk3. Unlike other music players, Lollypop 0.8.19 also offers several offers including MP3/4, Ogg and flac, Genre/Cover browsing, search, main playlist, party mode, replay gain and context artist view.

In today's HowTo Tutorial, we will discuss how to install Lollypop 0.8.19 using PPA on Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04, but if you are using other PPA based derivatives such as Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Linux Mint. Step Wise Installation of Lollypop 0.8.19 Music Player on Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04

Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for Lollypop 0.8.19 Music Player on your Ubuntu system.

Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added PPA for Lollypop 0.8.19 Music Player on your Ubuntu system.

Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable Lollypop 0.8.19 Music Player on your Ubuntu system.

Step 4 : (Optional) If you are using Unity, then you can disable overlay scrollbars for Lollypop by running the following command in terminal on your Ubuntu system.

Now open this music player and try to play your favorite music track in Lollypop player.
