SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 available for Download with Customer Portal Support
SUSE development team officially announces the release of SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 with highly available enterprise class IT services in physical, virtual or cloud infrastructure. This new products which are based on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 includes improved operational efficiency and accelerate innovation. The Novell designed SUSE Linux Enterprise is an enterprise edition available for both servers and desktop usage.
According to official announcement, SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 comes with updated customer portal, also known as SUSE Customer Center, which allows its customers to manage their subscriptions, access patches and updates along with communication with SUSE customer support. The president and general manager of SUSE, Nils Braukmann says that "Given their competitive cost pressures, IT organizations today have a hard time responding quickly to changing business needs and leveraging innovation".
Whereas the program vice president for servers and system manager, Al Gillen, says that "The industry is seeing growing movement of mission-critical workloads to Linux, with that trend expected to continue well into the future. The modular design of SUSE Linux Enterprise 12, as well as other mission-critical features like full system rollback and live kernel patching, helps address some of the key reservations customers express, and should help accelerate the adoption of Linux in this market segment." The SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Desktop and Workspace Extension Edition provides improved productivity and enhanced security.
