Debian 8 "Jessie" might arrive in February as it contains 310RC Bugs
The Debian community announces that stable release of Debian 8.0 "Jessie" might arrive in the month of February, 2015. It seems that the auto-removals of RC-buggy non-key packages helped a lot to keep the bug number under control. The team assume that if they remove all RC-buggy non-key packages then number of bugs reduced to 150RC bugs. Also, review recent Linux Distro News to know what's new in them ?
The history of Debian freeze itself explains that everytime freeze state takes minimum of 40 weeks, but this time developers think that it shouldn't take this much time in frozen state. One of the developer, Richard Hartmann's weekly stats provides a good live breakdown of RC bugs per category. You might also like to check out other latest Software News on our website.
