The Debian developers officially announces the upcoming Debian 8 "Jessie" distro will introduce GNOME 3.14 as its default desktop environment. Well earlier the developers announced that Debian 8 will include Xfce desktop environment instead of GNOME desktop, but they also provide the GNOME 3.14 packages in repository so that whoever wants to install GNOME desktop can install it by downloading packages from repository.

According to official announcement, it is officially confirmed that Debian 8 "Jessie" will receive GNOME 3.14 packages in its repository. There are lot of developers and users who are much comfortable with GNOME desktop instead of Xfce desktop. Recently, the community has decided to provide all GNOME 3.14 packages in repository for testing so that any one wants to use GNOME desktop environment, can use it easily on Debian 8 "Jessie".
