Lubuntu and LXLE development team officially announces the release of LXLE 14.04.1 with new features and enhanced system experience. According to official announcement, LXLE 14.04.1 comes with four familiar desktop layout paradigms and uses an optimized LXDE user interface. It also contains prudent full featured apps which are preinstalled and also consists of latest stable versions of major software applications. Lubuntu development team officially announces the release of first Alpha version of Lubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet". Well this Alpha version give its users a rough idea what will be new in final and stable release of Lubuntu 15.04 distro. As you know that this is Alpha version and currently available for testing purposes so reported issues will be fixed by final release.

According to official announcement, Lubuntu 15.04 Alpha 1 still uses LXDE Desktop Environment along with few upgraded packages. The first Alpha version of Lubuntu 15.04 includes Linux Kernel 3.16.0-28.38 which is based on upstream Kernel 3.16 version. The Lubuntu Desktop Installer comes with no option to install alongside a btrfs partition and installs alongside offers to install to USB boot media instead of hard drive. You can also download the ISO Image of Lubuntu 15.04 Alpha 1 to install it on your machine.

Apart from these new features, Lubuntu 15.04 Alpha 1 also includes some known issues which will be fixed by the final release of Ubuntu 15.04.
