4MLinux Rescue Edition 9.1 Beta gets AntiVirus Protection & Updated Apps


4MLinux team officially announces the release of 4MLinux Rescue Edition 9.1 Beta with new features and minor fixes. This beta release primarily includes updated applications as well as packages. 4MLinux Rescue Edition 9.1 Beta is the special release which will be used by both newbies and professional users. According to official announcement, 4MLinux Rescue Edition 9.1 Beta release comes with antivirus protection which includes Clam AntiVirus 0.98.4 with ClamWin. The system backup tool, 4MLinux Backup Scripts is also updated to 9.1 version. The archive formats in this release are managed via many applications which includes 7-Zip 9.20, FreeArc 0.67 and PeaZip 5.4.0.

The main updated applications of 4MLinux Rescue Edition 9.1 Beta includes data recovery tool like GNU ddrescue 1.18.1, TestDisk 6.14 with QPhotoRec, disk partitioning such as cgdisk 2.14.2, cgdisk 0.8.10, GNU Parted 3.1 and partition imaging tools such as Partimage 0.6.9, Partclone 0.2.69.
