Englightenment 0.19, E19 released with Wayland Support, Tile Preview & Compositor API

Enlightenment development team officially announces the release of Enlightenment DR 0.19 with new features and minor improvements. The Enlightenment 0.19 also known as E19 comes with large number of new changes compared to earlier E17 and E18 releases. As you know that Enlightenment is just a window manager for Linux/X11 and suite of libraries which allows you to create beautiful user interface with much less work than doing it the old fashioned way and fighting with traditional toolkits.

According to official announcement, Enlightenment DR 0.19.0 comes with improved wayland support along with show video resolution in filepreview widget. It checks udisks1 DevicePresentationHide flag and also adds a tile profile. It adds fileman option to clamp video size for video previews and handles xrandr backlight using a single, accurate handler.

This release also adds PIN-style desklock for lokker module and a new focus option "raise on revert focus". Among other new features, it allows moveresize visuals to be replaced, allows desk flip animations to be handled completely externally, revive personal desklock passwords, new compositor API and use non-recursive makefiles for entire build system.

Apart from these new features, Enlightenment DR 0.19.0 also comes with minor improvements like improved multiple monitor setup reliability along with shaped windows now render more accurately. The gstreamer1 is now used for media previews and system operations no longer dim screen until action has begun. The window stacking and focus restore is more accurate across restarts.
