Dropbox 2.11.0 for Linux comes with Enhanced UI & New Finder Icon
Dropbox team officially announces the release of Dropbox 2.11.0 for all Linux Distros. This is just a unstable build which is primarily released for testing purposes. According to official announcement, Dropbox 2.11.0 comes with support for Windows long path and updated splash screens. The user interface of Dropbox is rewritten for Windows and Linux Distros. Apart from this, new Linux headless setup flow is introduced in this release.
Other new changes includes new Finder icon overlays along with file identifiers as well as faster uploads for small files. How to Install Teamviewer 10 via PPA on Ubuntu 14.10, 14.04 & Linux Mint 17
Teamviewer is a remote service providing software which connects to any PC or server around the world within few seconds. It is particularly known for desktop sharing, online meetings, web conferencing and file transfer between computers. In today's HowTo Tutorial, we will discuss how to install Teamviewer 10 using Debian Package on 32-bit & 64-bit Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Linux Mint 17. Well the following commands can be used to install Teamviewer 10 on other PPA based Linux Distros, but you can do this at your own risk.
Step Wise Installation of Teamviewer 10 using Debian Package on Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 & Linux Mint 17
Installation of Teamviewer 10 on 32-bit Ubuntu & Linux Mint
Step 1 : Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to install gdebi package manager on your 32-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo apt-get install gdebiStep 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download latest stable Teamviewer 10 version using wget command on your Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ wget download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_i386.debStep 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable Teamviewer 10 with the help of gdebi package manager on your Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo gdebi teamviewer_linux.debIf you are using 64-bit system, then you must follow the commands given below.
Installation of Teamviewer 10 on 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint
Important Note: The newer 64-bit Debian system still lacks ia32-libs package, so you have to install Debian package of Teamviewer to get installed it on your machine.
Step 1 : Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add all i386 architecture packages on your 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added packages in the software repository on your 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo apt-get updateStep 3 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to install gdebi package manager on your 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo apt-get install gdebiStep 4 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to download latest stable Teamviewer 10 using wget command on 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ wget download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_i386.debStep 5 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install Debian Package of Teamviewer on your 64-bit Ubuntu and Linux Mint system.
$ sudo gdebi teamviewer_linux.debAfter installation, search for "Teamviewer" either in Unity Dash or in Application menu.

Dropbox 2.11.5 for Linux released with fixed UAC Elevation Prompts Issue
Dropbox development team officially announces the release of Dropbox 2.11.5 with minor bug fixes. This is an experimental version which contains minor bug fixes. Few days ago, Dropbox 2.11.4 comes with minor bug fixes and now Dropbox 2.11.5 is available for Linux Distros.
According to official announcement, Dropbox 2.11.5 comes with fixed issue which causes extra UAC elevation prompts which will be shown on Windows. This release also includes fixing an issue which causes users to download Dropbox again after declining UAC.
As you know that Dropbox 2.11.5 is the fifth release under 2.11.x series. The other changes which you might notice in 2.11.x series includes rewritten UI of dropbox for Windows & Linux platforms, support for file identifiers, support for Windows long path, addition of new Linux headless setup flow, updated splash screens and new finder icon overlays. Dropbox 2.11.4 allows Tray Popup to be Opened via Keyboard & Minor Bug Fixes
Dropbox development team officially announces the release of Dropbox 2.11.4 with minor new updates. Well this is another experimental build which primarily includes minor bug fixes.
