Alexandre Julliard, developer at Wine, officially announces the release of Wine 1.7.24 with minor new changes and several bug fixes. This is another development version under Wine 1.7.x series. This release doesn't bring any attractive features but only contains bug fixes which were reported in previous release.

According to official announcement, Wine 1.7.24 comes with minor crypto improvements along with various bug fixes. This release also includes initial wrapper dll for packet capture library and beginning to some DirectWrite classes implementation. The crashing of IE 8 is now fixed while launching. You can easily download source tarball of Wine 1.7.24 for compiling or building on your Linux distros.

This release primarily includes bug fixes for Windows applications such as Divx, AV Voice Changer, Letters from Nowhere 2, Magicka, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Serif WebPlus, Ccleaner, Jammer, WinUAE and World of Warcraft.
