NVIDIA 340.32 Driver released with Support for Quadro GPUs & Many Bug Fixes


NVIDIA team officially announces the release of latest stable NVIDIA 340.32 graphics driver with new additions and minor bug fixes. This is the most advanced stable release of NVIDIA and has active support for long period. Currently, this driver is updated to various Linux Distro repositories so anyone can install it on their Linux distros.

According to official announcement, NVIDIA 340.32 driver comes with support for GPUs such as Quadro K420, K620, K2200, K4200 and K5200. Apart from this new feature, this release mainly includes several bug fixes like fixed a bug which causes some Java-based OpenGL applications using JOGL to crash on startup on systems with Xinerama enabled.

This release fixes a regression which prevents internal stereo infrared emitter built into some 3D Vision monitors from working. It fixes a bug which prevents OpenGL Framebuffer Objects from being properly redrawn after a modeswitch. It also fixes memeory leakage which occurs when starting OpenGL applications. This release fixed a bug which causes Xid errors when using stereo mode 12 on Quadro boards without an onboard stereo DIN connector and also fixes a bug which prevents EDID-like Data of audio-capable displays from being updated when hotplugged/unplugged. It fixes a "black window" bug in Ubuntu 14.04 when using Xinerama and Composite extensions.

Among other bug fixes, it includes fixed video corruption issue for VDPAU decoding of VC-1 and WMV video streams utilizing range remapping on Maxwell GPUs. It includes fixing of bug which causes screen's contents to be shifted downward when a G-SYNC monitor is unplugged and replaced by a non-G-SYNC monitor.
