MPlayer based MPV 0.4.1 Player released with New Updates & Bug Fixes


MPV Player team officially announces the release of MPV 0.4.1 Player with new changes and minor bug fixes. There are lot of player available for Linux Distros which are primarily based on MPlayer, so MPV Player is also a fork of MPlayer2 and MPlayer.

Like any other Music Player, MPV Player also offers several advanced features. Some of them are streamlined CLI options, on screen controller, high quality video output, GPU video decoding and active development.

According to official announcement, MPV 0.4.1 Player comes with fixed cache resizing bug which causes seeking to not work anymore. It allows client applications to call mpv_terminate_destroy and also allows compilation without atomics which means provides compilation for compilers which doesn't support atomic operations.

This release make sure seeking bounds are within range with dvdnav:// and also check length of the last title too with dvdnav://longest. This release disables ao_null latency emulation and has restore ability to combine mouse buttons. It properly flush buffers on DVD seek.
