Linux Mint's Nemo File Manager receives New & flexible Bookmark Section

Linux Mint's Nemo File Manager receives flexible Bookmarks Feature

Linux Mint developers officially announces the bookmarks update for Nemo File Manager which allows its users to bookmarks hard drives or other important locations. Linux Mint and Ubuntu both are quite similar and shares almost same base. as you know that Nautilus is the default file manager in Ubuntu whereas Nemo is the default file manager in Linux Mint.

According to official announcement, Linux Mint officially receives bookmark feature in Nemo file manager. Now you can see all you bookmarks in Nemo's sidebar in a dedicated section instead of under My Computer section. They explained that the new and old users alike, when they fire up nemo, all of their existing bookmarks will be where they always are, in the My Computer section.

With this new bookmark section, when you try to create any new bookmarks via menus using Bookmarks->Add Bookmark, then they all are placed in new Bookmarks section. If you don't wish to populate this new section then you can also drag that new bookmark in to the other section, and Bookmark heading will disappear, so this is completely optional to use. Also, review recent Linux Distro News to know what's new in them ?

The drag and drop creation or rearranging feature of new bookmarks section is much simpler. All you have to do is to drag the item wherever you want it.  If the bookmarks section is hidden, it will temporarily appear during the drag, so you can place items there if you want.
