LFTP 4.5.4 receives Reduced CPU and Memory Usage Support & Other Bug Fixes


LFTP team officially announces the release of LFTP 4.5.4 with new changes and several bug fixes. As you know that LFTP is a sophisticated ftp/http client and a file transfer program which supports number of network protocols. It has job control and also uses readline library for input. It has bookmarks, built-in mirror command and allows you to transfer several files in parallel.

According to official announcement, LFTP 4.5.4 comes with new setting mirror which allows you to sort by name, size and date. The LFTP torrent now consume less cpu and memory usage. Apart from these new changes, this release also includes several bug fixes such as fixed memory leak in torrent along with updated translations.

Other bug fixes which you may notice in LFTP 4.5.4 release includes fixed occasional "BUG:deadlock" message, fixed segfault when a directory contains duplicate file names, fixed byte counters in mirror --depth-first and fixed timeout checks in FISH.
