KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 released with Plasma-NM 5.3 Beta Upgrade & Other Improvements
KDE Community officially announces the release of KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 with new changes and minor bugfixes. As you all know that KDE frameworks is the collection of 60 addon libraries to Qt which provides a wide variety of commonly needed functionality in mature, peer reviewed and well tested libraries with friendly licensing terms.
According to official announcement, KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 comes with new ModemManagerQt module which is also known as Qt wrapper for ModemManager API along with upgrade to Plasma-NM 5.3 Beta when upgrading to ModemManagerQt 5.9.0. Apart from this, the Plasma-NM 5.2.x needs a patch in order to build and work with this version of ModernManagerQt.
The KDE Frameworks 5.9.0 comes with updated KDE Apps such as KActivities, KArchive, KBookmarks, KCMUtils, KConfig, KI18n, KIconThemes, KIO, KItemModels, KJobWidgets, KNotifications, KPeople, KPty, KTextEditor, KWidgetAddons, KWindowSystem, KXmlGui, KXmlRpcClient, Plasma Framework and Buildsystem changes. Also, review recent Software News to know what's new in them ?
