Josef announces Fedora 23 will include Btrfs Filesystem as default Filesystem

Josef Bacik, developer at Fedora, officially announces that Fedora 22 or 23 will include Btrfs file system as default file system. Well earlier Btrfs filesystem was proposed for next Fedora 22 release but developer pushing it for Fedora 23 release. The OpenSUSE 13.2 which is going to release in November will have default Btrfs file system.

According to official announcement by Josef, "My plan is to push for F23, I'm still wrapping up some balance bugs and some other issues we've found at work and then this will be my next priority". He also explain that "SUSE benefits from Btrfs file system by having a narrow "supported" criteria, like only use it with lots of space and don't use any of the RAID stuff, plus they have two kernel guys on it and Dave Sterba who is now in charge of btrfs-progs".
