Elive development team officially announces the release of Elive 2.3.9 Beta distro release with minor new features and bugfixes. Like other Debian based distros, Elive is a powerful, lightweight and beautiful Debian based Linux Distro which primarily uses Enlightenment desktop environment as default desktop environment.

According to official announcement, Elive 2.3.9 Beta version comes with important fixes in the installer screen which turns blank during installation along with grub bootloader fixes and improvements. The VIM suite in this release is pre-configured with the best plugins and features available which keeps it much faster and full featured. Apart from these minor new feature, this release mainly includes few bugfixes like fix for Thunar which blocks when creating a new file along with fixed Bash security, fixes on upgrade mode and configurations are run in a detachable tmux. By default, VIM is provided directly in user's home directory so he will be able to reconfigure it according to his needs. Some of the plugins which you may get notice in this VIM suite are EasyMotion, MRU, tabular, echofunc, showmarks, ack, fugitive, syntastic, nerdtree, nerdcommenter, surround, rsi, repeat, multiple-cursor, minimap, special textobjects and airline with powerline fonts.
