Beta Version of Second Release of Plasma 5 Desktop available for Testing
KDE Community officially announces the release of beta version for second release of Plasma 5 desktop with new changes and few improvements. As you all know that few months ago, Plasma 5 desktop was released with several feature refinements and now they are providing new proposed features in this beta release which is primarily released for testing purposes.
According to official announcement, the beta version of second release of Plasma 5 desktop comes with new additions like new switchers in Plasma panels which allows you to easily swap between different widgets for the same task. You can also select which application menu, clock or task manager you want with ease.
The icons only task manager is also returned for those users who wants to clean their plasma panels. This release also includes new System Settings module which allows you to switch between desktop themes. It includes a new breeze widget theme for Qt 4 which allows applications written in KDE Platform 4 fit in your Plasma 5 desktop.
