SymmetricDS 3.6.3 receives few Improvements & Several Bug Fixes


SymmetricDS development team officially announces the release of SymmetricDS 3.6.3 with major bug fixes along with small improvements. As you know that SymmetricDS is a multi-master database replication, filtered sychronization or transformation across the network in heterogeneous environment. It supports multiple subscribers with one direction or bi-directional asynchronous data replication.

According to official announcement, SymmtericDS 3.6.3 comes with updated router helper methods which get column values use a case insensitive map. It also includes support for mysql enums in dbfill. It includes property which instruct symmetric to keep the same node_password for a node on re-registration.

This release has the ability through configuration to specify a system commands to dump and load a database's schema during initial load. As new property is also added which instruct the data loader to alter the case of db artifacts being created to the default case to the db. A new transform types has been added which will put the source catalog, schema or table names into a column.

Apart from these minor improvements, SymmetricDS 3.6.3 also includes several bug fixes. Some of the bug fixes includes null values aren't being passed through transforms, long oracle tables generate ORA-04095 on trigger creation, ASE 12.5 create triggers in a multi-statement fails, transaction is for sybase ase isn't always unique and dbfill only inserts 1 char for char fields.
