Opera Dev 25 Web Browser receives New Mac Installer & Web Notifications Support


Opera development team officially announces the release of Opera Developer 25 web browser with new changes and minor improvements. This is a development release which includes minor new features along with bug fixes. This release is specifically available for developers and only for Linux Distros.

According to official announcement, Opera Developer 25 browser comes with support for web notifications. The team also improve Mac installation by moving network installer from Windows platforms. These notifications might be special popups which may be triggered by any website. These notifications alert the user outside of the context of browser.

Opera Developer 25 also includes new network installer for Mac, a smaller sized downloader which fetches latest version of Open directly from the internet. This installer automatically installs latest version of browser. The main advantage of this installer is to make Opera less prone to errors and also manage to download packages when network has poor quality.

Apart from these two major changes, Opera Developer 25 also includes minor bug fixes along with few improvements. This release also publish one issue which have to be manually resolved by developers. This issue is about page crash on Gmail on Mac OS X 10.6, so to fix this issue all you have to do is to disable Proprietary audio codecs on opera://flags.
