OpenELEC development team officially announces the release of OpenELEC 5.0 RC2 which is the second release candidate for upcoming stable OpenELEC 5.0. Well as you know that OpenELEC 5.0 is based on OpenELEC 4.97.2 which is also known as test release for upcoming stable one.

According to official announcement, OpenELEC 5.0 RC2 comes with updated packages like kodi 14, kodi pvr addons, sqlite-autoconf, wlan-firmware 0.0.27, linux 3.17.6, freetype 2.5.4, dvd-firmware 0.0.47, misc-firmware 0.0.13, Mesa 10.3.5, libtool 2.4.4, ffmpeg 2.4.4, kodi-audioencoder-vorbis and also adds PR5805, new package 'keyutils' and new package 'iwlwifi-firmware'. Every update of OpenELEC 5.0 comes with updated Kernel version and Kodi version. We all know that OpenELEC is based on XBMC Media Center is specifically designed as an entertainment distro.
