OpenELEC development team officially announces the release of OpenELEC 5.0 Beta 3 which is the third maintenance release under 5.x series. This release is also known as OpenELEC 4.95.3 as you know that OpenELEC 4.95 branch act as test releases for upcoming stable OpenELEC 5.0 version.
According to official announcement, OpenELEC 5.0 Beta 3 comes with updated core components like updated kodi 14, kmod 19, bcm2835 driver, bcm2835 bootloader and kodi pvr addons. This release also includes updated Linux Kernel 3.17.3 and updated dbus 1.8.10.
The main highlighted feature of OpenELEC 5.0 Beta 3 release is switching from XBMC to Kodi brand. Both project teams worked on it simultaneously, so that the functionality and interface of this release will remain same and user might not confuse about XBMC and Kodi media center.
