Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 "Betsy" MATE available for Download
Linux Mint Community officially announces the release of Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 codename "Betsy" in both MATE and Cinnamon desktop environment flavors. The people who are currently using LMDE distro, already know that it is an exciting distro which provides same environment as Linux Mint but uses Debian as its package base instead of Ubuntu.
According to official announcement, Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 "Betsy" comes with login and password for live sessions. It also includes Gtk theme and icons failing to load. It shows some Modprobe errors, warning messages during the boot sequence. It includes support for Yumi multiboot along with multi-core and multi-CPU support in 32-bit kernel.
The community already provided the list of all HTTP mirrors from where you can download the ISO Image of Linux Mint Debian Edition 2 "Betsy" for both 32-bit and 64-bit variants to install it on your machine. Well LMDE is less mainstream than Linux Mint, it has a much smaller user base and is not compatible with PPAs. Also, review recent Linux Distro News to know what's new in them ?
