How to Install Xournal 0.4.8 (Windows Jarnal) via PPA on Ubuntu & Linux Mint


Xournal is a free and open source application which is used for notetaking, sketching, keeping a journal using a styles. This applications is quite similar as Microsoft Windows Journal or other alternatives such as Jarnal, Gournal and NoteLab.

Step Wise Installation of Xournal 0.4.8 (Alternative of Window's Jarnal) using PPA on Ubuntu 14.04, 13.10, 13.04, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and Linux Mint

Step 1 : First open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for Xournal 0.4.8 on your Ubuntu Variants.
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added PPA for Xournal 0.4.8 in the software repository on your Ubuntu variants.
$ sudo apt-get update
Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest stable Xournal 0.4.8 on your Ubuntu variants.
$ sudo apt-get install xournal
You can take notes and edit the styles of your favorite journals. This application is quite useful for those you wish to take stylish notes
