QuiteRSS developers officially announces the release of QuiteRSS 0.17.0 with new additions along with minor bug fixes. As you know that QuiteRSS is quite popular cross-platform RSS and Atom news feed reader which is compatible with browsers, user filters, adblocks, click to flash, mark news starred and checks for updates.

According to official announcement, QuiteRSS 0.17.0 comes with support for Socks5 proxy along with addition of newspaper view which you can open by going to View -> Layout -> Newspaper. This release also allows you to open news in external browser and also fixes an issue of sorting by feed title in news list.

Step 1 : Before beginning the installation, Open the terminal and run or copy the following command in terminal to add PPA for QuiteRSS 0.17.0 (RSS/Atom Feed Reader) on your PPA based Linux Distros.

Step 2 : Next, run or copy the following command in terminal to update recently added PPA for QuiteRSS 0.17.0 (RSS/Atom Feed Reader) in the software repository on your PPA based Linux Distros.

Step 3 : Finally, run or copy the following command in terminal to install latest QuiteRSS 0.17.0 (RSS/Atom Feed Reader) on your PPA based Linux Distros.

After installation, search for QuiteRSS and now enjoy reading latest RSS or feeds of your favorite website directly on your desktop with the help of QuiteRSS application.
