Google Chrome 38 Beta gets Improved KDE Wallet Compatibility & Other Fixes

Google Chrome team officially announces the release of Google Chrome 38 Beta web browser with new changes and minor fixes. As you can see that this is the beta version with minor improvements and fixes of bugs which were reported in earlier release. Well this is the second release under Chrome 38 Beta branch and includes several bug fixes.

According to official announcement, Google Chrome 38 Beta browser comes with improved KDE Wallet compatibility along with several bug fixes like fixed GSM in settings. According to recent EME spec changes, ReleaseSession() is replaced by CloseSession() and RemoveSession(). Until all changes to support both methods are in place, calls to ReleaseSession() should call RemoveSession() in order for existing prefixed EME applications to continue to work.

The earlier issue of OEM menu is also fixed in this release. Some of the OEMs don't let us change the background, so the padding is incorrect and also including sizing the menu too large causes clipping. This release also includes a new tab and keyboard navigation to new avatar bubble along with fixed stale keyboard bounds on login screen. If you wish you can also check out complete list of all changes on their official changelog page.

Among other new changes, Chrome 38 Beta browser includes speculative fix for crash during overscroll effect creation, prevent the screen from sleeping when the desktop is being captured, fixed GestureNav on HDPI displays and fix a crash when sign into sync.
