Elive development team officially announces the release of Elive 2.4.6 Beta with new changes and few improvements. The beta release of Elive 2.4.6 includes first selection of packages which should be used in next stable version. As you know that Elive is based on Debian distro and uses Enlightenment desktop environment.

According to official announcement, Elive 2.4.6 Beta comes with support for updated reiser4progs 1.0.9 along with TRIM support for SSD cards. It also adds the passibility to boot from your Hard Disks. This release also includes new tools made by Elive team such as email sender which is an extremely friendly way to send emails from your commandline and subtitles-convert-to-linux is a simple tool which allows you to convert subtitles to correct format to use in Linux.

Among other applications, Elive 2.4.6 Beta includes iso-to-utf8, utf8-to-iso, dos2unix, RAW support for Gimp along with other plugins such as gftp, gpg signatures for icedove and synchronization with gmail contacts, seahorse with multiple signature features, sshfs, ethtool.
