Diff and Merge Tool, Meld 3.11.2 released with Resized Panes & Bug Fixes
Kai Willadsen, developer of Meld, officially announces the release of Meld 3.11.2 with minor new features along with several bug fixes. If you are a Linux user then you must be familiar about Meld. Well Meld is a visual diff and merge tool which allows developers to compare files, directories and version controlled projects.
The Meld Merger tool provides two and three way comparison of both files and directories along with support for many popular version control systems. It helps you in reviewing code changes and understand patches easily. The latest Meld 3.11.2 is a development version and you can download the source tarball of Meld 3.11.2 for your Linux Distros.
According to official announcement, Meld 3.11.2 comes with resized file and folder comparison panes. The folder comparison feature now supports scrolling between chunks using mouse wheel in the link map like file comparisons. Apart from these new features, this release also includes series of new translations. This release also includes improved support of custom installation prefixes and improved behaviour of open external action and handle spaces in filenames for the custom editor option.
Meld 3.11.2 also includes several bug fixes as well as few improvements. This release includes fix for storing translated column names in configuration, fix display of unicode paths in repositories and fix for handling of unicode paths in recent files store. The default sourceview behaviour for Alt+Left/Right is removed in this release.
Several bugs are fixed for multiple windows in single-instance handling. Some of these fixes includes resolved relative paths relative to correct instance, raise correct window for new windows in the calling instance and exit correctly for command line errors in the calling instance.
