Budgie 8 Desktop released with Improved Panels & GNOME 3.10 to 3.16 Support
Budgie Desktop developers officially announces the release of Budgie 8 Desktop version with simplified main menu, cleaner animations and much more responsive desktop. This release main includes 78 commits with 36 file changes along with 3577 insertions and 351 deletions.
According to official announcement, Budgie 8 Desktop Environment comes with several options for Budgie Menu to panel preferences which allows its users to use traditional layout which we have earlier Budgie Menu view. The IconTaskList feature of Budgie 8 Desktop receives support for pinnning and "attention" hint and also uses .desktop files for quicklists and for icon resolution.
The Budgie Desktop panel gets initial autohide support along with support for shadow onall screen edges and dynamic support for gnome panel theming. The Budgie Menu adds default compact mode and removes old power option. The Editor includes all menu options to UI.
